Mary came to California in 2014 from eastern Pennsylvania where she grew up in a large and boisterous family. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Eastern Mennonite University in Virginia, and achieved a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Drexel University in Philadelphia, with a concentration in executive leadership and organizational design. Following a successful career in Acute Care and Neurosurgical Critical Care nursing, Mary transitioned to the Senior Care environment and found her true calling. Since 1998, Mary has devoted her career to serving seniors as an Educator, Director of Nursing, Nursing Home Administrator, and CCRC Executive Director. Mary is passionate about creating and sustaining a healthy organizational culture that allows residents and staff to contribute, grow, and thrive. Mary serves on multiple LeadingAge California committees and was honored to be an EMERGE leadership coach for the association’s Leadership Development Academy for three years. She is nationally certified as an Administrative Nurse through CDONA, and holds both RCFE and NHA licensure. Mary is also mom to two adult men, Theodore and Quinn, who both live in the Philadelphia area. She also has a Coton de Tulear puppy named Augie, whom she adores.

Jon Casey was appointed Heritage on the Marina’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in January 2023. Jon is a native Californian. He obtained his Bachelors and MBA from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California, both with Honors. His prior employ... Jon Casey was appointed Heritage on the Marina’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in January 2023. Jon is a native Californian. He obtained his Bachelors and MBA from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California, both with Honors. His prior employment includes Front Porch, where he served as Vice President of Finance-Affordable Housing. Prior to that he was the CFO at Webster House Senior Living in Palo Alto. He was part of a multi-company merger process that brought together Life-Plan and Affordable Communities in a large organization. In his early career, he was an Aerospace Engineer helping to design cockpit displays for fighter jets and the space shuttle. Later he became a billing specialist with a private company with a niche in the billing market that was noticed and eventually purchased by AT&T. Jon is well known in our industry for his financial acumen and for his commitment to seniors. He has worked in both the Life-Plan and Affordable Senior programs and projects. Jon has a long-standing commitment to non-for-profit (NFP) organizations. During his career, he has been a part of multiple NFP Boards, including one to help businesses stay open during the pandemic. He has served on public committees and has tried to impact housing availability for seniors and low-income families. Jon lives in Hollister, California. Jon is married to Mia, who is the newly elected Mayor of Hollister. He has five adult children who are scattered across the country. He also four grandchildren, with a fifth on the way in May of 2024. In his spare time Jon enjoys reading, writing, painting, and tending to his two dogs, a Terrier named Cora and a 1-year old Border Collie named Cody.
